Having some fun, trying out new techniques and dabbling...

Funny how there is always at least one bit of my drawing that is wonky and I never really notice it until later. Not that Id probably change it.... I can be a lazy artist sometimes... I tell myself its my style...
And here some mini piccs, grabs from my sketchbook. I do believe my sketching style is getting looser! Yah! Ive been waiting ages for that.

  1. Absolutely LOVE the last four sketches. Those are fabulous. So much character.

  2. I agree with Jenn, you should stick to the pen and ink style. It's perfect for you.

  3. I agree! Love that style, Janet. The tub one is my favorite.

  4. I first read these comments while we were on our holiday in Italy recently, (only just home a few days ago) and I immediately wanted to get in touch and say thank you to all of you but I couldn’t log in!
I don’t think it is any secret that I admire all of your work tremendously so I took what each of you said very much to heart. It also confirmed something for me too, I had been thinking along similar lines because I really enjoyed doing the pen and ink techniques but I always feel this pull to be “diverse”, (especially with increasing my digital abilities) and I think I try to be a jack of all trades instead, as they say, master of one – well at least practiced at one.
So feeling very happy and respect for my work I have set my sail to further pursue this style, which I like a lot. (Disregarding my latest Illustration Friday foray)
I look forward to sharing many happy doodling’s here!
Again, Thank you all your experience and feedback is always valued :)
